Are you a skilled financial professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for corporate finance? Gresham Hunt are partnered an international investment bank seeking an experienced Corporate Controller.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the Finance team, contributing to daily, monthly, and annual financial control and reporting tasks.
As a Corporate Controller, you will collaborate closely with the Finance team in London to ensure high corporate control standards, while driving efficiencies and supporting senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost accruals and calculate prepayments.
- Post journals to the ledger as required to complete month-end tasks.
- Assist with the expense monitoring process, liaising with various departments such as Front Office, Back Office, Accounts Payable, and overseas accountants.
- Substantiate and analyze balance sheet accounts.
- Oversee and review outsourced services.
- Assist in preparing management packs for senior leadership.
- Support the team with ad-hoc financial control queries from stakeholders in different locations.
- Contribute to year-end, internal, and other audit processes.
- Maintain and improve existing processes for efficiency, including drafting related policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of HGB, US-GAAP, and IFRS.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Fluent in both German and English.
